Marta Roure
Marta Roure Besolí (born January 16, 1981 in Andorra la Vella , Andorra ) is an Andorran singer .
Roure comes from a musical family. Her great-grandfather was a trumpeter, her grandfather a composer and her father Jordi Roure i Torra is leader of a big band, trumpeter and trumpet teacher. Her aunt, Meritxell Roure Morist, is a piano teacher, as is her sister Anna Roure. Roure completed her musical education at the Conservatori de Música d'Andorra . As a guitarist, pianist and singer, she began her career at the age of 17 as a member of her father's big band. Then she played in numerous orchestras and bands.
On December 20, 2003 she was selected together with a duo Bis a Bis for the broadcast 12 punts of Andorran television. She was able to prevail in the competition and flew for Andorra, which was taking part for the first time, to the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul . She received only 12 points from Spain in the semifinals and thus did not get beyond the semifinals. After the Eurovision Song Contest, she released her debut album Nua .
Today she works in Barcelona in the Department d'Educació ("Ministry of Education") of the Catalan National Authority, Generalitat de Catalunya .
