The Marti Holding AG , based in Moosseedorf (until June 2011 Urtenen-Schönbühl , until May 2009 in Berne ) is an internationally active Swiss construction company . It comprises a total of around 80 independently managed regional, national and international subsidiaries in Switzerland as well as in Germany, Spain, Austria, Norway, Slovakia, Chile, Ukraine, Russia, India and China. The group of companies operates as a general contractor in all major construction areas, including building construction , civil engineering , tunnel construction , special civil engineering , road construction , hydraulic engineering as well as renovations , building protection and repairs .
The family company founded in 1922 does not publish any business figures. According to an estimate by the Handelszeitung , the group of companies generated consolidated sales of around 550 million Swiss francs in 2008.
The major projects currently under construction by Marti AG include the Limmern pumped storage plant in the canton of Glarus , the Prime Tower in Zurich and the Löwenstrasse through station in Zurich's main train station as part of the Zurich cross-city link ( Weinberg tunnel ).
