Martin Galway
Martin Galway (born January 3, 1966 in Belfast ) is a British composer of music for computer games .
Galway began his musical career in 1983 on the BBC Micro ; In 1984 he switched to the C64 , on which he programmed chiptunes for the SID sound chip . In 1985 he accepted a permanent position at Ocean Software in Manchester, England . He wrote the soundtrack to well-known games such as Arkanoid (1986), Wizball (1987), Slap Fight (1987) and Yie Ar Kung-Fu . He later switched to the PC and wrote, among other things, the music for some of the better-known games from Origin , such as Times of Lore and the Ultima series. He also wrote the music for some of the games in the Wing Commander series.
Galway is still active to this day and has also set some Microsoft games to music.
