Martina García (2010)

Martina García (born June 27, 1981 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian film and television actress. She was best known for playing Esme in the Homeland episode Endstation Caracas and the lead role of Fabiana in the thriller The Hidden Face .

Life

Martina García attended the renowned drama school Fundación Estudio XXI of the Colombian theater director Paco Barrero in Bogotá and continued her school career at the school of the Spanish film and theater actor Juan Carlos Corazza in Madrid. In 1999 she made her acting debut with a guest role in the Colombian drama series Francisco el Matemático . This was followed by other roles in the TV series Maria Madrugada and Amor a la plancha .

In 2004 García made her film debut. She played the character of Maria Gomez Castañol in a supporting role in the thriller The Art of Losing . This was followed in 2007 by her first leading role in the crime drama Satanás , in which García played Natalia.

She returned to television and starred in the drama series Pura sangre, Plan América and in the thriller series Tiempo Final . After a leading role in The Hidden Face (2011), she continued her career in the USA and got her first international role in 2013 with the role of Esme in the Homeland episode Endstation Caracas . In 2016 she played the role of Maritza in five episodes of the Netflix series Narcos .
