Marvin Marcel Schulz (born January 15, 1995 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German football player . He is under contract with FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League .

Career

Schulz started playing football at TuS Union 09 Mülheim and moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's youth team in 2003 .

For the 2014/15 season, Schulz moved up to the professional squad, but did not yet make a Bundesliga appearance this season and instead played in the U23, with which he became champion of the Regionalliga West . As in the preparation for the 2014/15 season, he was also able to draw attention to himself in the preparation for the 2015/16 season with good performances in the friendly matches. In the 4-1 victory of VfL in the first main round of the DFB Cup on August 10, 2015 at FC St. Pauli , he finally made his professional debut and acted in the defense center alongside Andreas Christensen for the entire duration of the game. Five days later, at the start of the season at Borussia Dortmund , the first Bundesliga appearance followed in the same position, again from the start.

On July 10, 2017, Schulz moved to FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League , where he signed a contract that ran until the end of June 2020. On October 17, 2019, Marvin Schulz extended his contract with FC Luzern early until the end of June 2022.
