The Mateco GmbH (proper spelling: mateco) is an in Stuttgart based company which platforms rented various designs and sells used machinery.

history

The nucleus of today's company is maltech Hebebühnen-Autovermietung GmbH & Co. , founded in Stuttgart in 1973 , which expanded into neighboring countries ( Luxembourg and Poland ) in the 1990s . Mateco AG, which is not listed on the stock exchange, emerged in 1999 . In 2007 the investment company Odewald & Compagnie from Berlin took over the majority in mateco.

Since the beginning of the 2000s, mateco has taken over various smaller competitors and expanded its branch network. In 2012, the majority of the company went to the Belgian TVH Group with headquarters in Waregem .

Rental business

As of September 30, 2018, the company's rental fleet comprised around 11,000 working platforms of various types, which were available at 57 locations in Germany.

Of the sales of EUR 184 million, EUR 149 million was accounted for by business in Germany, the remainder by the foreign branches.
