Maud Adams (born February 12, 1945 in Luleå , Sweden ; actually Maud Solveig Christina Wikström ) is a Swedish film actress and former model .

biography

Maud Adams was best known for her role in the James Bond film Octopussy (1983). Octopussy is the name of a circus woman portrayed by Adams. She is the only leading actress who embodied two different characters in two different James Bond films, because the former model in The Man with the Golden Gun played Andrea Anders, Scaramanga's lover , as early as 1974 . In 1985 she had a cameo in Face of Death when she happened to be on location.

After various action and B-movies , from the beginning of the 1990s she only made films that either appeared exclusively in the video trade or were intended for television. In the mid-1990s she played in two television series on Swedish television, and in 1996 she made her last film appearance for the time being. In 2000 she made a guest appearance in an episode of the comedy series The Wild Seventies , after which she did not appear again until 2008 with a film role.

Her first marriage was to Roy Adams from 1966 to 1975. She has been married to the judge Charles Rubin since 1999.
