Mauri Grashin

Maurice "Mauri" Grashin (born January 14, 1901 in Illinois , † February 1, 1991 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter who was nominated at the Academy Awards 1935 for the Oscar for best original story.

Life

Grashin began as a model writer for the Laurel and Hardy - short films as well as some more short films and wrote throughout his career in the film industry of Hollywood screenplays for almost thirty films.

At the Academy Awards in 1935 he was nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Story, namely for Hide-Out (1934) by WS Van Dyke .

Other well-known films based on his templates and scripts were Roll on Texas Moon (1946) by William Witney , Arthur Takes Over (1948) by Malcolm St. Clair and, most recently, Always Trouble with the Girls (1969) by Peter Tewksbury with Elvis Presley and Marlyn Mason in the lead roles .
