Maxim Gaudette

Maxim Gaudette (born June 8, 1974 in Sherbrooke , Québec ) is a Canadian actor .

Life

Gaudette was born in Sherbrooke in 1974 as the son of ice hockey player André Gaudette . He completed an acting training at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal until 1997 .

In 2009, directed by Denis Villeneuve , he played the misogynist Marc Lépine in Polytechnique , the perpetrator of the rampage at the Montréal Polytechnic . For this role he was awarded the Genie Award and the Prix ​​Jutra , each for best supporting actor.

In 2010 Gaudette worked again with Denis Villeneuve for the drama The Woman Who Sings - Incendies , in which he played the role of Simon Marwan .

In addition to his film and television projects, Gaudette continues to appear regularly in the theater.
