Maximilian Heyß

Maximilian Heyß (born August 12, 1808 in Peuerbach ; † June 28, 1867 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a postmaster, Heyß studied law in Erlangen and Munich . During his studies in 1828 he became a member of the old Erlanger fraternity Germania and in 1830 the fraternity Germania Munich . After completing his studies, in 1844 he was the landowner of Innernsee / Schloss Innersee and Hinterdobl . For the large landowner he was a member of the first Upper Austrian Landtag in 1861 , and in 1867 for the Ried electoral district. From 1861 to 1865 and 1867 he was a member of the Reichsrat , where he worked as a secretary and in several committees. He was regional judge and senate president for criminal matters at the Vienna regional court . He also worked as a sworn interpreter for Hungarian and wrote articles in legal journals.
