The Mazda 757 was a racing car prototype built for Mazdaspeed for use in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the IMSA GTP class. It replaced the earlier range of Group C2 cars that ended with the 737C and had the first chassis designed entirely by Nigel Stoud and built by Mazdaspeed . The 757 had a new 3-disc rotary engine , type Mazda 13G.

Two 757s were used in the 1986 24-hour race at Le Mans, but were canceled due to transmission problems. This was the first time that no Mazdaspeed car could finish the Le Mans race. In the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship , Mazda finished third in the constructors' championship this time.

In 1987 , two 757s were again entered in the 24-hour race at Le Mans; one took 7th place overall, the other dropped out due to engine failure. Because of the good results in the Sports Car World Championship and the related All Japan Sports Prototype Championship in Fuji , Mazdaspeed was able to achieve 10th place in the team world championship and 3rd place in the JSPC constructors' championship this year.

In 1988 , a single 757, together with the two newer 767s, was entered for the Le Mans 24-hour race, and with 15th place in the overall classification, it held its own better than the two 767s.
