Mbosi (also Embosi, Mbochi, Mboshe and Mboshi) is a Bantu language and is spoken by the approximately 108,000 Mboschi in the Republic of the Congo .

It is widespread in the department of Cuvette south of Owando and in the north of the department of Plateaux .

Mbosi is written in the Latin script . Most speakers also speak Lingála , French, or Teke-Tege .

Mbosi forms the Mbosi group with the languages Akwa , Koyo , Likuba , Likwala and Mboko . According to the division of Malcolm Guthrie , Mbosi belongs to Guthrie Zone C30.
