MeatballWiki
The MeatballWiki is a wiki about virtual communities , network culture and hypermedia . It was founded in 2000 by Sunir Shah. The original focus was on collaborative hypermedia such as wikis, but now the topics range from intellectual property to cyberpunk .
Meatballs are metaphorically referring to pages that are connected to one another by hyperlinks .
The wiki hosts various projects, in particular it has had a major impact on the development of the UseModWiki with which it is operated.
Because of its role as a community through communities, the MeatballWiki has become the starting point for numerous other Wiki-based projects and a central point of contact for the expanded Wiki community. While it expressly sees itself as the "center" of the Wiki community, its content is suitable as reference material. The InterMap is also maintained in the MeatballWiki, which allows cross-wiki links.
