Meret Forster

Meret Forster (* 1975 in Munich ) is a German music editor .

Life

Meret Forster studied piano , musicology , modern German literature and comparative literature in Munich, Tübingen, Amsterdam and Berlin. She then did her doctorate on Ernst Krenek and Karl Kraus . In 2001 she founded the Akademie Musiktheater heute of the Deutsche Bank Foundation . From 2001 to 2004 she worked as a freelancer in the music department of the Bavarian Radio . From 2004 to 2008 she was music editor in the new music department at MDR Figaro . Since 2008 she has been working for Bayern 4 Klassik, since October 1st, 2009 BR-Klassik , in Munich, initially as an editor in the music feature department, since 2011 as editor -in- chief for e-music . Since 2016 she has been leading the ARD International Music Competition together with Oswald Beaujean.
