Michał Górczyński

Michał Górczyński (born April 30, 1977 in Warsaw ) is a Polish bass clarinetist, chamber and improvisation musician and composer.

Górczyński studied at the Music Academy in Warsaw until 1977 and took part in the Darmstadt summer courses . He has performed at the Warsaw Autumn Festival under the direction of Jacek Kaspszyk , with the Polish Radio Orchestra under Jerzy Maksymiuk , the Dutch Ensemble De Ereprijs and the Kwartet Śląski .

In 2002 he founded the Ensemble Kwartludium , with which he appeared at festivals such as Audio Art , the Warsaw Autumn and the Ultrasound Festival in Berlin. As an improvisation musician, he has worked with Peter Kowald , John Edwards and Zdzisław Piernik , among others . He has released three CDs: Boys Band Trio (2000), Pink Freud (2000) and Górczyński / Piernik (2001). As a composer, Górczyński emerged with chamber music works, as well as with more than 25 theatrical music as well as music for underground shorts and documentaries.
