Michael Arnal (born December 24, 1947 in Würzburg ) is a German screenwriter and director .

Life

After studying at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf , a. a. at Joseph Beuys , Arnal worked as an artist, museum director, journalist, photographer, screenwriter and director. In 1976, together with the artists Mike Hentz and Xao Seffcheque , Arnal coined the term Adventure Art, a form of artistic performance that involves the audience as actors in the artistic process without prior consultation. Arnal worked on the scripts for Reschke's big shoot , Losberg , Manta - Der Film , Einfach nur Liebe und Doppelter Einsatz (which he also developed together with Xao Seffcheque), and discovered Oliver Hirschbiegel for the film in 1987 while filming the Losberg television series .
