Without really offering anything new or surprising to the connoisseur, with a profound knowledge of international research and its source editions, he succeeds in giving the reader a differentiated and clearly contoured panorama of the interplay between religion and politics in Europe and America from the late 18th to the early 21st centuries . Century in front of your eyes. ”Burleigh also succeeds in“ building a never-ending fascination over this epoch-making arc of tension ”, which is partly due to“ his always concrete manner of presentation, which operates with clear examples ”.
