Michael Fengler

Michael Fengler (born November 14, 1940 in Königsberg ) is a German film producer, screenwriter and director.

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Fengler began studying art history , Romance languages and German language and literature in 1960 . In the 1960s he got to know the director Rainer Werner Fassbinder and worked on his short films Das kleine Chaos and Der Stadtstreicher as a cameraman and sound engineer. Fengler and Fassbinder are named in 1971 for Why is Mr. R. running amok? awarded the German Film Prize. In 1971 he was one of the co-founders of the film publishing house of the authors , in 1975 he founded the film production company Albatros. As a producer, he worked alongside Fassbinder with Federico Fellini , Luigi Comencini , Salvatore Samperi and, above all, with Klaus Lemke .
