Michael Lein (born October 7, 1965 in Lichtenfels) is a radio presenter , television presenter and journalist . He is also a coach in media and presentation training and a lecturer at various private universities.

Life

Michael Lein, who grew up in Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia, graduated from the Kaspar-Zeuss-Gymnasium in Kronach . This was followed by a two-year newspaper traineeship at the Obermain-Tagblatt Lichtenfels.

At the age of 22 he started his radio career at Radio Downtown in Erlangen. At that time, the private radio scene was still developing and numerous successful talents laid the foundation for a nationwide career at Radio Downton in Erlangen . The radio team at the time included, for example, Markus Kavka (later MTV ), Valerie Weber (former program director of Antenne Bayern , now radio director of WDR ) and Jürgen Kraus (former head of music at Antenne Bayern).

In 1990 he switched to the oldie broadcaster Radio 5 Fürth , where he presented various daily channels . From 1991 to 1992 he joined the Hit Radio N1 team in Nuremberg as a moderator and editor . The end of 1992, he joined the West Central Franconia station Radio 8 Ansbach on, graduated from there another volunteer and then took over, along with the local program director Klaus Seeger, the morning show . He also acted as chief of duty during this time .

From 1995 to 2013 he worked as a morning presenter at Radio Franken at the Funkhaus Nürnberg . From 1996 to 2013 he was also head of programs at Radio Franken and from 2001 to 2007 for Radio Gong 97.1 , also as head of programs. During this period, Radio Franken became the local number one in Franconia several times .

In 2004, the programs Radio Franken and Radio Gong 97.1 Nuremberg each achieved a 25% increase in listeners under his leadership. The programs tuned in to 274,000 listeners every day (source: Funkanalyse Bayern 2004, TNS emnid, total daily range from 14 years in the stereo reception area from Monday to Friday).

Furthermore, during his time at the Funkhaus Nürnberg, he temporarily acted as word coordinator for the entire editorial team for the stations Radio Franken, Hit Radio N1, Radio Gong 97.1 and Radio Charivari 98.6 .

In addition to his activities on the radio, Michael Lein moderated nationwide as a so-called off-air moderator and, since 2000, has also acted as a coach and trainer for medienpraxis Bayern, private broadcaster Austria, medienring Baden-Württemberg and the BCI Group in Schwaig.  

Michael Lein has been self-employed since 2014 and focuses on coaching, moderating and lecturing. Since then he has worked as a private lecturer for the privately run universities Campus M21 Nürnberg and Deutsche Pop Nürnberg. From 2014 to 2018 he moderated on TV at 123-TV nationwide and on the regional television broadcaster Franken Fernsehen .
