Michael Pammer

Michael Pammer (born September 11, 1962 in Linz ) is an Austrian professor at the Institute for Social and Economic History at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz .

Pammer studied law, German and history at the University of Salzburg . In 1985 he received his doctorate in law and in 1990 at the University of Salzburg in history with the dissertation apostasy and true devotion. Baroque religiosity, reform Catholicism and secularism in Upper Austria 1700 - 1820 . From 1992 to 2001 he was a university assistant at the Institute for Social and Economic History at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. In 2001 he completed his habilitation in economic and social history with the title Development and Inequality. Austria in the 19th century . In the same year he received the title of associate professor at the University of Linz.
