Michael Schunder (born August 11, 1963 ) is a former German skeleton pilot .

Michael Schunder from BSR Oberhof had his most successful period in the middle and the second half of the 1990s. Between 1993 and 1996 he took part in several races of the Skeleton World Cup , but could never place better than in the 20s. Nationally he was able to achieve greater success. In 1994 and 1996 Schunder was third in the German Championships , in 1998 he finished fifth.
