The Midwestern State University (also MWSU called) is a public university in Wichita Falls in the US state of Texas . It is located midway between Dallas and Oklahoma City . About 6,000 students are enrolled here.

history

The MSU was founded in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College . Midwestern State University has been on current campus under these names since 1975 . This was preceded by several moves and name changes.

The MSU currently has seven colleges.

  • Science and math
  • Education (West College of Education)
  • Fine Arts (Fain College of Fine Arts)
  • Economics (Dillard College of Business Administration)
  • College of Science and Mathematics

There is a cooperation with the environmental campus Birkenfeld .

Sports

The MSU sports teams are the mustangs . The university is a member of the Lone Star Conference .
