Milburn Stone
Milburn Stone (born July 5, 1904 in Burrton , Harvey County , Kansas , † June 12, 1980 in La Jolla , San Diego , California ) was an American actor .
life and career
Stone toured the country with various theater groups before moving to Hollywood in 1935 to become a film actor. First as an extra , later in smaller supporting roles , Stone mainly worked in B-movies . In 1955, Stone was given the role of Dr. Galen "Doc" Adams on the television series Smoking Colts . Milburn Stone accepted and remained loyal to the series for the entire 20 seasons , in total he played the role in 604 episodes. Due to health concerns, Stone retired in 1975 when the series was discontinued.
Milburn Stone was married to Ellen Morrison from 1939 to 1940. In 1976 he married Jane Garrison, with whom he stayed until his death. Stone died of a heart attack at the age of 75 .
