The mister * lady GmbH is a 1967 founded German apparel company for young fashion headquartered in the Franconian Schwabach . The target customer group is aimed at young people between 15 and 30 years of age.

history

When jeans celebrated their breakthrough in the 1960s, this development sparked the idea of the married couple Ellen and Dieter Beran in 1967 to open a so-called Western Store Beran in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia . This business primarily sold US products, including jeans items.

From this original business idea, a large German textile supplier with headquarters in Nuremberg, Bavaria, developed . The name of the company was initially changed to mister * lady jeans and in 2006 to the current name mister * lady .

In 2010, some 44 years after its founding, mister * lady was by the spouses Beran to the Opcon AG sold and in 2014 online shop on the websites opened the company.

Corporate headquarters

On September 20, 2015, the company's headquarters moved from Nuremberg to Schwabach in the south. On the 25,000 square meter site for the company headquarters and the central warehouse, the prerequisites for possible further expansion were created.

Compared to the previous company headquarters in Nuremberg, the company's capacity has increased enormously: While 5000 square meters were available in Altenfurt for the logistics area, it is now 9000 square meters in Schwabach. In the past 3500 square meters were available for administration, now there are a total of 5800 square meters in the Westend in Schwabach.

The company moved into a three-and-a-half-story building at the entrance to the new Schwabach industrial park, right next to a newly created roundabout. The administration building in Schwabach has also been significantly expanded: It can provide up to 150 employees with state-of-the-art jobs. Among other things, there are ergonomically designed workplaces with height-adjustable tables and office chairs.

In energy technology, attention was paid to environmental friendliness. For the use of geothermal energy, 36 geothermal probes, each 90 meters deep, in which around 13,000 liters of water circulate. A heat pump and a gas-powered combined heat and power unit are installed. The server room is cooled all year round by the built-in geothermal probes, and there is a 13-kilowatt air conditioning unit as an emergency unit. The administration building is illuminated with energy-saving LEDs, with control being implemented using motion detectors: If there is no person sitting at the workplace, no lights are on there.

The logistics building in the nearby Gold Leaf Street is ten meters high. LED lighting was also installed here. Four gas-powered burners heat the air in the hall, which can be approached to the west via ten ramps.
