Mitsuki Ono (born March 5, 2004 ) is a Japanese snowboarder . She starts in the halfpipe discipline .

Career

Ono won the gold medal in the halfpipe at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Cardrona and at the 2019 Junior World Championships in Leysin . In March 2019 she finished seventh at the Burton US Open in Vail and won the World Rookie Finals on the Kitzsteinhorn . At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she started the Snowboard World Cup in Copper Mountain for the first time and finished eighth. This was followed by three top ten placements, including second place in Calgary and thus reached 15th place in the Freestyle World Cup and sixth place in the Halfpipe World Cup. At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne , she won the gold medal in the halfpipe. In February 2020 she finished second at the US Revolution Tour in Mammoth and fourth at the Burton US Open.
