Announcements from the Institute for Austrian Historical Research
The reports of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research ( MIÖG for short ) are a historical journal published by the director of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research , currently Thomas Winkelbauer .
Articles and literature reports on historical studies are published with a focus on Austrian history, constitutional history, source studies and historical auxiliary sciences. The journal volumes are completed by supplementary volumes and the publications of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research.
The magazine has been published since 1880, initially as Mittheilungen (up to and including 1905). From 1923 to 1942 it was entitled: Communications of the Austrian Institute for Historical Research (MÖIG); In 1944 it was called: Communications from the Institute for Historical Research and Archive Studies in Vienna.
Two issues appear annually. The editorial team of the trade journal consists of Brigitte Merta, Martin Scheutz, Andrea Sommerlechner and Herwig Weigl.
