Moisés Carlos Atisha Contreras (born February 27, 1969 in Santiago de Chile , Chile ) is Bishop of San Marcos de Arica .
Life
Moisés Carlos Atisha Contreras joined the religious order of the Piarists and made perpetual profession on March 11, 1994 . On 25 March 1994 Atisha Contreras was the Bishop of Melipilla , Pablo Lizama Riquelme , the deacon ordained. He received on 14 December 1994 by the auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Chile, Sergio Valech Aldunate , the sacrament of Holy Orders . On June 8, 2001 Atisha Contreras was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Santiago de Chile .
On November 21, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of San Marcos de Arica. The Archbishop of Santiago de Chile, Ricardo Cardinal Ezzati Andrello SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on January 17, 2015 ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Chile, Archbishop Ivo Scapolo , and the Archbishop of Antofagasta , Pablo Lizama Riquelme.
