Moorhusen (Forlitz-Blaukirchen)

Moorhusen is a village in East Frisia. Politically, it has belonged to the Forlitz-Blaukirchen district, part of the Südbrookmerland community, since the municipal area reform of July 1, 1972 . The village, which had 84 inhabitants in 1848, spread over 11 apartments, was first mentioned in 1461 as Moerhuser hammerke . The name to Moerhusen has been handed down from 1476 . The current name has been used since 1871.
