Mount Canicula is a mountain with double peaks ( 890 m and 825 m ) in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 5 km east of Sirius Knoll on the watershed between the Russell East and Russell West Glaciers in the center of the Trinity Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1946 and named it based on the name of Sirius Knoll after the synonym "Canicula" for the double star Sirius in the constellation of the Big Dog .
