Muhles Park with the Muhle estate is located in Bremen in the Oberneuland district , right next to the Höpkens Ruh park and estate on Oberneulander Landstrasse 65 to 69, on the other side of the street Auf der Alten Weide . Opposite is the extensive Ichons Park with the Villa Ichon , which - supplemented with newer buildings - is home to a retirement home.

history

The green area was created in the first half of the 19th century from 1815/25 on from the Böving family's Meierhof . The Muhle family took over the farm in 1922 and sold the Villa Muhle and the green area to the city of Bremen in the mid-1970s. The landscape garden is very spacious and impresses with its long paths. Hikers get through the Oberneulander meadows, the Wümmeniederung to the Hexenberg in Borgfeld and on to Fischerhude .

The observation pavilion dates from around 1790, the garden vase and the base from around 1830, another vase from around 1926 and the pavilion is from around 1925.

building

The villa Böving was around 1815 in classical style built. In 1922 a fundamental renovation took place according to plans by Walter Görig .

The Hofmeierhaus was built around 1910 in the reform style of the turn of the century.

Monument protection

In 1984 Muhles Park was placed under the protection of historical monuments in Bremen . Landhaus Böving and the associated Hofmeierhaus are part of the overall complex. Together with the neighboring Höpkensruh property, Muhles Park forms a group of monuments.
