Multimedia art

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Multimedia art is a form of art in which elements of multimedia are used together and simultaneously as design elements. The simultaneous use of different elements (image, video, language, music, text, poetry, photography, sculpture, interactivity, etc.) results in a new, overarching form of design. (According to Aristotle: " The whole is more than the sum of its parts ".)

Multimedia art is different from digital art or computer art . In multimedia art, the content is primarily determined by people, not by a machine or by chance. Only the various media are used as a communication tool in the sense of conveying the basic message of the work. This basic statement comes about through the simultaneous integration of different media.

The statement is even more individual if all design elements are designed and implemented by an individual (artist) alone (individual art).
