Mythos Brewery is the second largest Greek brewery . She belongs to the Carlsberg Group. It also imports some non-Greek beers .
Company details
The company comes from the Henninger Hellas SA group , the Greek division of the German brewery founded in 1970. In 1992 the Boutari Group acquired the company. Two years later, in 1994, it was converted into Northern Greece Brewery Ltd. renamed. In 1997 the beer Mythos was introduced as a lager beer, which was also renamed Mythos Brewery Ltd. in 2001. Three years later, in 2004, Scottish & Newcastle became the new main owner. Since S&N was broken up, Mythos has been part of the Danish Carlsberg Group. At times the Fix Hellas brand was also brewed to order.
The beer myth
Myth is a pale lager beer brewed in Pilsen . It has been filled in bottles and cans of 330 ml and 500 ml since 1997. Myth is exported to some European countries, the USA , Canada and Australia .
The Mythos brewery also produces the German beers Henninger , Henninger Lager and Kaiser . It also imports Carlsberg Beer (Denmark), Foster’s Lager (Australia), Guinness Stout and Kilkenny (Ireland).
