The Nägeli family is an extinct Bernese patrician family of the Society for Thistle Compulsion and the Guild Society for Forging .

history

Burkhart Nägeli († 1468), who came from Klingnau , received citizenship rights from the city ​​of Bern in 1438 . His third marriage was Benedicta von Hürnberg, from a wealthy Bernese council family.

Members of the family owned the lordships of Münsingen , Bremgarten and Bümpliz .

The Nägeli went out in 1741 in the Mannstramm with the Ohmgeldner Hans Rudolf Nägeli (V.).
