Nadhmi Auchi

Nadhmi Shakir Auchi (born June 11, 1937 in Baghdad , Iraq ) is a British businessman. His net worth was £ 1.995 billion in 2007.

He made his fortune in the 1970s managing oil money. When Saddam Hussein came to power in 1979, Auchi fled to Great Britain and also took her citizenship. In 2003 he received a two-year suspended prison sentence and a fine in the legal proceedings leading to the Elf Aquitaine scandal .
