The name-giving boat of the Norwegian Navy

The boats of the Nasty-Class (152) were two boats of the Norwegian tjeld-class patrol boat and went under the NATO - code P6191 Hugin and P6192 Munin from 5 October 1960 to 4 January 1964 as a testing boats at the German Federal Navy . The building yard was the Moenwerft in Mandal , Norway . The boats were subordinate to the 1st Schnellbootgeschwader in Kiel . After the end of the trial, it was realized that these boats did not meet the expectations of the German Navy for use in the North and Baltic Seas. The boats were handed over to Turkey and went there under the names Doğan and Marti .

A total of 42 Tjeld-class boats were built in Norway, 22 for the Norwegian Navy, 14 for the US Navy, 4 for Greece and the two German boats. 6 other boats were built under license in the USA. In Norway, the boats were in active service until the early 1980s. Some were kept in reserve afterwards. The last boats were sold for recycling in 1992.
