Career

societies

Björn started at Vaksala SK , a sports club in Uppsala, for which she played in the Swedish Cup before her 15th birthday. In 2013, when she was 16, she played for IK Sirius in Elitettan , the second division in Swedish women's football that was founded that year. As a third, the club just missed promotion to the Damallsvenskan . Björn then moved to second league AIK Solna and played for him the following season in the first division , where as third from bottom the immediate relegation was narrowly avoided. In the 2015 season , however, the club came last and was relegated again. Björn then moved to runner-up Eskilstuna United . With this she finished third in 2016 and 2017 and took part in the UEFA Women's Champions League 2016/17 , where she played over 90 minutes in the round of 32 in both victories against Glasgow City FC . In the round of 16 against VfL Wolfsburg she was only used in the 5-1 home defeat, but was substituted after 81 minutes. She did not experience the 3-0 away defeat. After two seasons in Eskilstuna, she moved to runner-up FC Rosengård , with whom she finished third in the 2018 season . On May 18, 2018, she won the cup with Rosengård, winning her first national title. In the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League , she was used over the full distance in the four games, but was eliminated in the round of 16 after a 2-3 home defeat and a goalless away draw against Slavia Prague . On the first day of the 2019 season, she scored the only goal of the game against her old club Eskilstuna United in the 90 minutes and thus her first league goal ever. Overall, she came in the season that ended with the championship in 17 of 22 games for use.

National teams

Björn ran through the Swedish national junior teams, became vice European champion in 2013 with the U-17 team , failed with her in qualifying for the U-17 European Championship 2014 , and was eliminated with the U-19 team in the group stage of the U-19 European Championship 2014 and finally won a title at the 2015 U-19 European Football Championship for women . In September 2015, she also took part in the first qualifying round for the U-19 European Women's Football Championship in 2016 , which the Swedes successfully completed with three wins. For the elite round in April 2016, in which the Swedes were eliminated, it was not taken into account. She was also not nominated for the 2016 U-20 Women's World Cup in November 2016, for which the Swedes qualified as European champions in 2015.

On October 21, 2016, she made her first appearance in the senior national team . In the 7-0 win against the Iranians , who played for the first time in Europe, she was in the starting line-up and was one of only three players not to be replaced. Three days later she made her second international match in a goalless draw against Norway , but was only substituted on four minutes before the end of the game. She then had to wait almost two years for her third international match: After several games as captain with the U-23 team in 2018, she was back in the starting line-up of the A- on October 9, 2018 in the 0-1 away defeat against Italy . National team and was allowed to play through as one of five players. In the 2-0 win against England at the end of the international season, she was substituted on after an hour. She was substituted on three times in the first six international matches in 2019 and only played over 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat against Portugal at the 2019 Algarve Cup , but scored her first international goal and thus an international goal before a goal in the national league.

On May 16, she was also nominated for the World Cup . At the World Cup she was used for the first time in the group final against the USA and played over 90 minutes. The Swedes lost 2-0, but moved into second place in the round of 16, where they came on against Canada in the 79th minute. In the quarter-finals, the Swedes won another competitive game against the German team after 24 years and qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games. Björn was substituted on four minutes before the end of the game. In the semifinals they were defeated by European champions Netherlands after extra time, but were then able to win the game for third place against England , in which they were back in the starting line-up, but were substituted after 72 minutes.
