The National Alliance for Democracy and Development (NADD) (in German: National Alliance for Democracy and Development ) was a coalition of five opposition parties from the West African state of Gambia .

It was officially founded in January 2005 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding . The parties involved were:

According to the protocol: “ The aim of the alliance is to put an end to self-continued rule and to ensure the strength of the people so that they can participate in a reasonable development. "

In an interview with the BBC , UDP leader Ousainou Darboe was quoted as saying that the coalition's objective is not simply to remove President Yahya Jammeh from office, but that it has concrete policies, including far-reaching changes in the country's government system.

The group hoped in the presidential elections on September 22, 2006 and the parliamentary elections in January 2007 as a single force to compete better against President Yahya Jammeh with his ruling party Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).

In April 2016, the Independent Electoral Commission announced that it had been informed of the dissolution of the NADD.
