The National Maritime Intelligence Integration Office (NMIO) , formerly National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) , is a military intelligence of the United States Navy stationed in Suitland , Prince George's County southeast of the capital Washington, DC

It was founded on the advice of the 9/11 Commission , presidential edicts, and marine intelligence security plans with the aim of identifying and minimizing threats to US citizens, the American economy, or national security .

The NMIO is the umbrella organization for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), the Naval Information Warfare Activity (NIWA), the Marine Corps Intelligence Agency (MCIA) and the Coast Guard Intelligence Coordination Center (ICC).
