Reigning Swiss B champion was EHC Biel , who just failed in the league qualification at NLA relegated Friborg-Gottéron . A procedure by the EHC Biel due to an incorrectly deployed Kloten-Flyers player was still pending.

Outlook for the 2006/07 season

The EHC Biel remains after the missed league qualification against Friborg in the NLB. In the 2006/07 season , all of the above-mentioned teams play (with the exception of Forward Morges HC, which is replaced by the 1st league champions HC Thurgau .)
