Nauru Bwiema (Nauru, our homeland) is the national anthem of Nauru . Margaret Hendrie (1924–1990) wrote the text; Laurence Henry Hicks (1912–1997) composed the music. Nauru adopted the anthem in 1968 on the occasion of Australia's independence.

Nauru, our homeland, the country we love so much;

You have been the home of our great ancestors for a long time;
