Nedjalko Jordanow

Nedjalko Assenow Jordanow (also written Nedyalko Asenov Yordanov , or Nedialko Asenov Yordanov , Bulgarian Недялко Асенов Йорданов ; born January 18, 1940 in Burgas , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian writer , poet , dramaturge , director and translator . Jordanow was good friends with the Turkish-Bulgarian poet Recep Küpçü and translated some of his works into Bulgarian.

Life

Jordanow graduated from high school in his hometown and in 1962 his studies of Bulgarian philology at the Sofia University St. Kliment-Ohridski. The following year he worked as a literature teacher in Malko Tarnowo . Between 1963 and 1983 Jordanow was dramaturge at the Andriana Budewska Theater in Burgas and from 1983 to 1990 its director. In addition, Jordanow was between 1980 and 1988 editor-in-chief of the magazine More (Bulgarian Море, to German sea). Between 1990 and 1999 he was the dramaturge and director of the Wasrashdane theater in the Bulgarian capital Sofia .
