The Neufang Brewery was a Saarland beer brewery in Saarbrücken - St. Johann . The existing warehouse at Dudweiler Landstrasse 7 is a listed building .

history

The brewery was founded in 1815 and converted into a joint stock company in 1907. The large warehouse was built in 1923–1925 according to plans by Karl Brugger and Rudolf Seifert.

In the course of its history, the Neufang brewery was z. B. 1930 advertising partner of the aviators Elly Beinhorn and Katja Heidrich .

In 1993, the Kulturfabrik (KuFa) discotheque was set up in the former warehouse , with training and commercial rooms and restaurants on the upper floors and outbuildings.

In 2001 the brewing activity was stopped and the catering customers were taken over by the Bitburger brewery . Since then, the company's purpose has been to manage its own commercial properties.

In 2019 the Kulturfabrik discotheque was dissolved and the premises were rededicated to an event hall.
