Neuhof is a district in the West district of the independent city of Hof (Saale) in Bavaria .

history

The history of Neuhof can be safely traced back to the middle of the 15th century, when the hospital foundation owned a Vorwerk (a self-managed property) there. According to unsecured sources, Neuhof is said to have existed as early as 1353. In 1869 Neuhof was incorporated into Hof.

In 1896 the Neuhof cotton spinning mill was founded in the Neuhof district. After the restructuring in 2010, 188 jobs were retained.

The parish areas of the Evangelical Kreuzkirche and the Catholic Church of St. Konrad are located in Neuhof .

traffic

The Neuhof district is connected to the train route from Hof Hbf to Bad Steben with the Hof-Neuhof train station. Between 1902 and 1973 there was the Hof Nord stop east of this station on the Leipzig – Hof railway line .

Neuhof station

The four-lane main traffic axis of the city of Hof, Ernst-Reuter-Straße ( B 2 ) as a city motorway, runs through Neuhof in a north-south direction . The four-lane Kulmbacher Strasse ( B 15 ) runs in a westerly direction as a feeder to the A 9 motorway ( Berlin / Nuremberg ) with the Hof-West entrance. In the course of the federal highway 2 in the direction of Konradsreuth you reach the Hof-Plauen airfield . The A 93 runs eastwards and continues over the Upper Palatinate to Regensburg .
