New Media Journalism Award

The New Media Journalism Award has been presented annually since 2006 by the Austrian Journalists Club (ÖJC), supported by Google Austria since 2012 , for outstanding journalistic achievements in the field of online journalism .

The use of the new media for communication work is particularly recognized. The main prize is endowed with 3,000 euros, the young talent prize with 1,000 euros. There is also an undoped recognition award.

In 2020, the award was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
