Nina Ritter (born January 26, 1981 in Hamburg ) is a former German national ice hockey player who played most of her career at Hamburger SV . Nina Ritter's siblings Thea and Paul are also ice hockey players.

Career

When she was nine years old, Nina Ritter came to ice hockey when she happened to take part in ice hockey training in Stellingen . Since there was no girls' team, Ritter played with male peers. She later played for Altonaer SV in the Lower Saxony League, FTV Hamburg and made her debut for KEV Hannover in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga . In 1997 she made her debut for the German national team .

In 2000 she spent nine months in Sweden doing her European Voluntary Service in Kinna . In nearby Vedigge she played for the local ice hockey team Veddige HK . After her return she moved to SC Riessersee and from July 2001 belonged to the sports promotion company of the Bundeswehr in Sonthofen .

In 2002 he finally switched to the women's ice hockey team at Hamburger SV .

From 2000, Ritter was a permanent member of the national team with which she participated in the 2000 , 2001 , 2005 and 2008 World Championships .

Professionally, the defender served for two years as a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr and then studied ecotrophology at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences .
