The Nordmilch GmbH was a company of milk production with 2,452 employees in 2011, with the Humana Milk Union in the Deutsche Milchkontor merged.

history

In 1999, the Hansano-Milchhof cooperative based in Isernhagen in the Hanover region merged with Nordmilch eG.

Nordmilch AG was the main sponsor of the Team Milram cycling team , which took part in the Tour de France several times . In July 2010, Nordmilch announced that they no longer wanted to apply for a license for the cycling team in 2011 and thus sealed its end.

In September 2010 the merger plans with the Humana Milchunion were announced and the Federal Cartel Office gave the green light for the merger that followed. The new company is called Deutsches Milchkontor (DMK) and is now a GmbH.

Locations

The company had a total of nine own locations and four subsidiaries.

Nordmilch's own locations were in Zeven , Edewecht , Neubörger , Nordhackstedt , Hohenwestedt , Strückhausen and Schleswig . There were also Nordmilch subsidiaries in Dargun , Magdeburg , Waren (Müritz) and Holdorf . The company's headquarters were in Bremen .
