Nueva Sociedad
Nueva Sociedad ( Spanish for New Society ) is a Spanish-language socio-political magazine for Latin America , published by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung .
The magazine was founded in 1972 and in 2012 had a circulation of 2,000 subscription copies and 200,000 free article downloads every month. The frequency of publication is bimonthly. The place of publication is now Buenos Aires in Argentina . Nueva Sociedad was published first in San José ( Costa Rica ) and then in Caracas ( Venezuela ). A special edition is published each year in German and Portuguese.
The declared goal is "the consolidation of a pluralistic, democratic and scientifically sound culture of dialogue on the continent and the promotion of the reform approaches necessary to stabilize democracy in the region."
