OSTR (born May 15, 1980 in Łódź , Poland , real name Adam Andrzej Ostrowski ) is a Polish rapper .
Life
OSTR is one of the best-known representatives of the Polish hip-hop scene. He is known for his exceptional freestyling skills. He achieved his first commercial success in 2002 with the album Tabasko (Asfalt Records), for which he was nominated for a Fryderyk . His politically committed album Hollyłódź was awarded a Fryderyk in 2008, as did the 2010 Ocb and the 2015 Kartagina (with Marco Polo). Several of his albums achieved gold or platinum status in Poland .
In 2015, an operation was performed on a lung. He processed this experience on the album Życie po śmierci (2016).
He studied violin at the Łódź Music Academy .
