Oberlemnitz is a district of the city of Bad Lobenstein in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
Geography and geology
Unterlemnitz and Oberlemnitz are located together on a plateau of the southeast Thuringian slate mountains. The western flank of the district is wooded. Spring troughs and narrow valleys are typical grassland locations. Agriculture is favored on plateau-like ridges, undulating plains and flat slopes. In other locations, forest use predominates. There is a good connection via Landstrasse 1099 to Bundesstrasse 90.
With the line 630 of the transport company KomBus Oberlemnitz has a connection to the core city Bad Lobenstein and from there to the cities Schleiz , Naila (line 620) and Ziegenrück (line 620).
Neighboring places

history
The first documentary mention took place in 1356.
A church was built in 1738 from rubble stones from the previous building.
The place is still dominated by agriculture. After the reunification, the farmers orientated themselves again in an agricultural association with their professional colleagues from neighboring towns.
