Oceanwake is a Finnish death-doom and post-metal band from Luvia that was formed in 2009.

history

The band was formed in 2009. After the debut album Kingdom in 2012 via Stygian Crypt Productions , he switched to ViciSolum Productions, which in 2015 and 2017 released the two albums Sunless and Earthen .

style

Tobias Blum from Rock Hard wrote in his review of Sunless that the band here “stands in the tradition of the post - metallic shiny Doomdeath ”, although the album seems rougher, less cool and more accessible compared to Cult Of Luna . Occasionally the group also sounds like they are stealing from Ghost and they also use “terribly crooked clean singing”.
